Friday Fill Ins

1. It's time for another 1 mile run.

2. Working out; it's not a bad place for your mind, body and soul.

6. The last time I laughed really loudly was during our surprise Anniversary party. 

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to Chicago, tomorrow my plans include Chicago and Sunday, I want to relax!

Hello Summer... I love you!

Ah it seems to be winding down quickly... soon Chelsea will start back to school and shortly after  that Zach will be in school again too... so I thought my 13 should be of my favorite summertime things.

1.  Movies and lunch any day - just cuz we feel like it!

2.  Coldstone Ice cream!

3.  Fruit... oh the fruit is the best in the summer!

Travel Mini

Well, I think I finally finished my travel mini and can add it to my basket of mini books.  I added journaling and stamping (right on some of the pics).

Amazing family and friends...

Awesome weekend!

I left the house on Friday with the camper packed in anticipation of a fun weekend with family and friends.  I got that and a whole bunch more!

I truly am so lucky for the family and friends that I have.  They pulled off the ultimate surprise by planning a surprise party for Joel and my 25th wedding anniversary during a camp out weekend that we had planned back in February!

My sister, did so much!!!  And she really should start her own party planning/catering service for everything she did was not only perfect, but themed to the camping weekend.  We had barely talked this week, and I was beginning to wonder why?  I can just imagine the stress she was under trying to pull this all off...

And Lisa.... Oh my gosh Lisa!  If you know Lisa you already know what an amazing person she is to everyone she meets, but just imagine being her friend for 30 years, then you are truly blessed!

Then of course my mother in law and all the other family and friends who all worked together to pull this whole thing off!

We have been counting down to this weekend since February!  It's hard to believe we started planning back then for a summer camp out, and here it is!  It's going to be about lots of family and lots of friends what could spoil it... oh  yeah, the forecast is calling for rain.... oh well - we will still have a blast, I'm sure!

13 Ways to a healthier me!!

1.  Running a mile - I did my first of many yesterday!!!!
2.  Eating healthy meals
3.  Keeping healthy foods in the house (not hard with Chelsea home!)
4.  Having a daughter that is studying nutrition that motivates me
5.  Increasing time on the stair master (an on going goal!)
6.  Continue to follow Milts work outs
7.  Always educating myself on diet and exercise
8.  My new Asics shoes Joel got me
9.  Good music on the ipod (Rob Thomas)
10.  Choosing fruit over hash browns (like at breakfast this morning)
11.  Wheat not white
12.  Implementing those trainer tips from Stephen, Milt and Stephanie
13.  Having a positive attitude towards people and life!

  

Weekend edition...

This past weekend was somewhat quiet.  I worked on Saturday, we went to the game on Saturday night and I spent most of Sunday around the house.

Oh, the Cleveland Indians are not doing good this year, and we keep hoping the magic of seasons past will kick in... but to no avail

Saturday's game was enjoyable to watch, even though it ended in a loss.  The weather was perfect and Joel and I shared a couple of beers.... isn't that what your supposed to do at the game?

On my way home from work on Saturday I found these two in the Industrial Parkway

Life's travels....

Sometimes people have a hard time with those detours in life, and some people are able to change directions with acceptance of the new adventure ahead.

This month's kit from Work in Progress is with October Afternoon Road Map and I absolutely love it!  I have not only been making layouts that are about recent trips our family has taken, but also those changes in life we all travel through.

My thoughts exactly, when it comes to mini books or telling a story.  I wanted to get something together from our recent vacation and thought a mini goal/mini book would be perfect.
